Gallagher Bassett (GB) is proud to announce that Marc Casey, Operations Manager – Motor Assessing, has been recognised by Insurance Business New Zealand as a Young Gun for 2021!

The highly coveted annual award program showcases the insurance industry’s future leaders. This recognition spotlights high-achievers aged 35 or under who demonstrate an impressive level of accomplishment and leadership.

They represent the future of the New Zealand insurance industry and the leadership skills they demonstrate position them as role models for the insurance professionals of tomorrow.

In his current role, Marc provides leadership, advice and support to the Motor Assessing team. He is responsible for the overall effective planning and implementation of business-as-usual (BAU) assessing strategies to achieve the business plans and objectives.

Craig Furness, Chief Executive Officer, says that since joining GB in October 2019, Marc has grown GB’s business opportunities to become one of the leading TPAs in the motor claims industry.

“Marc’s experience and expertise has ensured that we have a skilled and respected team that produces successful outcomes whether working with the insurer, their clients or the motor industry,” he said.

One of Marc’s key achievements to date was the implementation of a full operational review of the entire motor claims and assessing process. The initiative resulted in a reduction in turnaround time of assessments, a 60% gain in the utilisation of resources, and improvements in service levels and increased client satisfaction.

“Marc is an invaluable member of the GB team. He has been instrumental in completely revitalising our Motor Claims experience for both clients and end customers alike. The team consistently receives accolades and compliments from our clients, and as a result we have seen a significant increase in new business,” concluded Steven Walsh, Chief Client Officer.

Marc’s consistent customer-centric focus has a positive impact on the team’s culture of excellence. He is passionate about developing and mentoring GB’s next generation of leaders and is honoured to be named as a 2021 Young Gun, saying,
