Gallagher Bassett would like to congratulate Gwenda Dargan for winning the Excellence in Service Delivery award at the 2015 WorkSafe Awards on the 8th of October.

Senior Case Manager Gwenda Dargan received this award in recognition of her compassionate approach to customer service, and the transformative effect she has had on all her clients.

Many employers and injured workers have remarked on Gwenda’s empathetic approach. A recent example was when Gwenda was managing the claim of an injured worker who was fixated on his injury, depressed, and lacking an appropriate treatment plan.

Gwenda went beyond expectations to meet with the injured worker and his family at the hospital, and worked closely with the specialist to avoid any further delays. When the injured worker had to undergo surgery, Gwenda followed up with the GP to seek their support, and contacted a gardening service to help the worker out around the home.

This was a major step forward for the injured worker. ‘Things are really moving really quickly now. They are getting done. Thank you’, he said.

After Gwenda’s help, the injured worker’s sister said ‘Just wanted to say thanks for today. My parents are very happy with all your support. Many thanks.’

Four Gallagher Bassett staff members were successful in making it to the finalist stage of the awards, including:

  • Gwenda Dargan (Senior Case Manager) for Excellence in Service Delivery
  • GB Claims Team 1 for Improving Client Performance
  • Lisa Cristaudo (Payments Practices Manager) for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual
  • Adam Farrell (Return to Work Specialist) for Outstanding New Starter.

We congratulate all team members for making it to the final stage, and demonstrating the dedication, compassion and support of all Gallagher Bassett staff.
