GB is pleased to announce that its first internship program will commence in early 2016.
During October, a group of nine university students who have been accepted into the program had the opportunity to meet a group of mentors and tour their local office, before they officially commence the program in January.
The interns will undertake a six-week paid placement that provides them with real-world experience and exposure to a variety of roles and processes, as well as giving them an insight into the insurance industry and a possible career with GB after graduation.
The interns will take on roles across the business, including roles in claims management IT, HR and Customer Service. The interns will be based in GB’s Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide offices.
After an initial orientation program at GB’s head office, the interns will complete the remainder of their internship in their local office with the support of their managers and peers, with an individual development plan created for each intern.
Each intern will also be assigned a mentor to work closely with them throughout their journey at GB.Gallagher Bassett’s General Manager – People and Performance, Chenoa Daley is pleased by the work her team has been undertaking in preparation for the launch of the program.
