Gallagher Bassett appoints new Operations Manager of Property Assessing.
GB is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Allan to the role of Operations Manager – Property Assessing.
Tim, who was previously a self-employed builder, joined Symetri (now a Gallagher Bassett company) in 2011 working as an assessor of damaged driveways following the September Christchurch earthquake.
He progressed into a number of roles within Project Management and Leadership where he gained a thorough understanding of the insurance and assessing industries. In November 2017, he was seconded into the role of Operations Manager – Property Assessing for a period of three months
During this period, Tim has taken the opportunity to use his extensive experience in property, earthquake damage and project management to further enhance his knowledge and understanding of the assessing work we do at GB.
As Operations Manager – Property Assessing, Tim will be responsible for providing day-to-day management and technical support to the property assessing team, ensuring the delivery of a cost-effective, professional and customer-focused claims service
Katherine Johnson, GB’s General Manager – General Insurance, spoke highly of Tim’s leadership skills,
‘I am delighted that we have employees of this calibre within our organisation, and that we are able to recognise their talents with these kinds of internal promotions. Tim encapsulates our culture of leading by example, being accountable and continually delivering the best for our customers both internally and externally.’
‘Having been seconded into this position over the last few months, Tim has embraced any challenges and shown an unfailing dedication and commitment to the team.’
Tim is excited to have been made permanent in this position,
‘I am looking forward to working collaboratively with our clients and other stakeholders to actively demonstrate our expertise and the value we add to their business.’
Our Property Assessment team at GB is highly experienced in the management of outsourced property claims management portfolios across all products and classes, including industrial special risks, business package, strata title, landlords and machinery breakdown.
Tim has a National Certificate in Carpentry and is a Licensed Builder Practitioner with extensive health and safety qualifications though Site Safe that are industry recognised. Tim is also a part of GB’s 2018 Impact Leadership program, which started earlier this month.
The appointment is effective immediately and Tim will continue to be based in our Christchurch office with frequent travel nationally.
